...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT ABOVE 4000 FEET... * WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations up to 10 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades. * WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through late Wednesday night. * IMPACTS...Periods of moderate and heavy snow will combine with low visibilities to create difficult driving conditions. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded. Persons should delay all travel if possible.
